Unfortunately, we have to postpone our upcoming Nature Immersion Experience. Please stay tuned for a rescheduled date!

EVENT DETAILS

Nature and Forest Therapy is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku, which is described as an immersion in the atmosphere of the forest. During a session, we move slowly, quiet our minds, and awaken our senses to the experience of being in the natural world.

Andrea Prazmowski, from Forest Therapy Ottawa, will gently invite us to new levels of awareness and nature connection, introducing us to ways of relating to the more-than-human world, that we can then apply in daily life. As our Guide, she knows how to step back and let the land offer its medicine, giving us space for our own exploration and discovery. By the end of the walk, many people arrive at a state of deep calm and discover healing that goes beyond the physical level.

This beautiful collaboration extends from our Conversations That Connect Us event where we investigated the theme of Action as the Antidote to Climate Anxiety. This Nature Immersion Experience will provide us with another opportunity to come together in community and take action to heal ourselves, which in turn will help heal the land.

We have listed the price as $30/Adult and $15/Youth, but we can offer a sliding scale if necessary – we don’t want the price to be a barrier for anyone. Please send me a note at worldchangingkids@gmail.com if you would like to discuss this further.
