Join us to learn more about:
* plastic pollution,
* people around the world who are doing good work to help,
* what Deep Blue Cleanup is doing, and
* things we can do to help.

Then we will get to go outside and clean up the shoreline around the Nepean Sailing Club.

It will be such an amazing afternoon.

We will meet indoors at the Nepean Sailing Club at 1:00 pm where we will start with a workshop on plastic pollution. We will watch some videos. We will learn more from Melanie, Founder of Deep Blue Cleanup about her work. And then we will come up with a list of actions we can all take as families, as adults, as kids, to help.

Then we will get to go out to the marina to see the Deep Blue Cleanup Seabin in action. This is a great video of a Seabin in California to give you an idea of what it does.

Then we will take our Deep Blue Cleanup buckets and head out to pick up trash from the shoreline around the Nepean Sailing Club – helping the animals that call it home.

This workshop is set up as a “Pay What You Can” event – starting at $10 per family. If the $10 price is a barrier, please contact Lindsey at worldchangingkids@gmail.com and we will work something out. All revenue earned will be split evenly between World-Changing Kids and Deep Blue Cleanup.

The workshop will be held at the Nepean Sailing Club at 3259 Carling Ave, Nepean, ON K2H 1A6.
