This is my neighbour Max. He is one of my favourite kids – he lives his life like he is in a Wes Anderson movie. When he heard that we were fundraising to help bring the Al-Taha family here to safety, he decided he wanted to help. He came up with this amazing idea to do some knitting and sell the items as a fundraiser. His first project was this beautiful scarf, which his Grandma snatched up right away. Max donated the entire amount received to our Go Fund Me campaign and wrote the lovely message: “I want this family to have a good life”. Oh my heart. Max is creating more knitted masterpieces – he is currently working on some beautiful earrings.
