NOTE: Unfortunately, this week (Aug 23-27) didn’t work in enough of our awesome friends’ schedules. We are looking to see if we can postpone it to next week (Aug 30-Sept 3) – or whether setting it up as a five part series on Saturdays in the fall might work. Stay tuned for more info!

CAMP DETAILS

Dates: Aug 23-27, 2021
Time: 10:30 am to 1:00 pm EST
Price: $180 per family for the week
Ages: 7 to 13

In this online summer camp, Lindsey, from World-Changing Kids, will be joined by her friend Anyse, from My French Tutors, and our special guest, Samantha Beynon, Author of “Sisters Learn Traditional Foods”.

Anyse will help our awesome kids practice their French through fun games, activities, art and snack making – helping them get comfortable speaking French again before school starts. Lindsey and the kids will learn about amazing Canadians doing great social justice work. Samantha will teach the kids about Indigenous culture, history and beauty.

We will help the kids build their confidence, leadership skills, communication skills, and knowledge of real world issues. And we will provide you (the parent) with some time to yourself … to work or just enjoy a break nearby in the house … knowing that your children are engaged in a meaningful, fun, inspiring activity.

The schedule and flow for the week will be very flexible and led by the children as much as possible. So, there might be additional fun added to the above description – depending on where our conversations go.

The group will be capped at 15 families. The format will be relaxed and understanding of the fact that 2.5 hours of online learning is a lot. There will be breaks between the sessions where the kids will be free to move around and have a snack. We will make sure that we are engaging all the kids in the style of learning that works best for them.
