Our Upstanders & World-Changers Workshops with Cody Coyote now have a new time – Tuesdays, 3:00 to 4:00, and a new social media look. We will be holding our third workshop next week and would love to see you there!

Date: Tuesday, April 21, 2020
Time: 3:00 – 4:00 pm
Price: $10 or $20 per family
Ages: 9 – 13

In this online workshop, the kids will work with Cody to practice the art of storytelling through music. The kids will learn to turn their ideas into lyrics and music. They will then have the opportunity to work together to create a song and possibly a music video. This workshop will be held each week while we are in this current reality of social-isolation. Kids are welcome to drop in once, or every now and then, or each week!

On top of all this awesomeness, Cody will also use his amazing talent as a storyteller to teach the kids more about Indigenous culture, history and current reality, Reconciliation and his lived experience as a First Nations youth and now, young man.

Cody is an amazing speaker, performer and storyteller. He speaks from his heart with the goal of helping us all work together to make the world a better place. I have seen Cody speak a number of times now and guarantee that your children will be fully engaged in this beautiful conversation.

You will notice that we have listed two ticket prices for this event – $10 or $20 per family. I use this two ticket format when I am running a workshop with a guest. When I invite a guest to a workshop, I want to make sure that they are fairly compensated, so I split the revenue from a shared workshop 50/50. But I also want to be sensitive to our participants’ needs right now. With this two ticket format, families can self-select the ticket price that works best for them in this current time. We know that a lot of people are experiencing financial hardship right now, and we want to be empathetic, compassionate and accommodating to that. But we also know that there are others who are less affected financially right now and are looking for ways to help our local artists, organizations, community builders and businesses. We thought that this two ticket price system was a fair way to balance all this. Please select either price, without any guilt or fear of judgement. And, if $10 is not possible at this time, but you really want to attend, please email us at worldchangingkids@gmail.com and we can work something out!

The workshop will take place through Zoom. The meeting link will be emailed to participants the day of the workshop.
