I am so excited to announce that we are running the Year of Kindness for Schools Program at Alta Vista Public School (AVPS) this year. We are holding our Kindness Kick-off Assembly this Thursday for families at AVPS. The awesome student leaders from the Stand By Me Club will lead the assembly. They will provide a brief presentation explaining the program, perform a Kindness Improv Skit about being an Upstander, and then they will run a group Act of Kindness for all the families.
The students in the Stand By Me Club will run this same assembly (without the group Act of Kindness) for all the students and teachers when we head back to school in January. This will ensure that everyone is excited to participate in the program and ready to start the daily and weekly Acts of Kindness challenges.
I thought that I would share the details of this event with you, so that you can get a better idea of what the Year of Kindness for Schools Program looks like. For more details on the program, check out our website at: http://worldchangingkids.ca/product/the-year-of-kindness-self-directed
