A World-Changing Kids Summer Fun Family Adventure in Collaboration with Family Harmonies Familiales
Join us as we go to visit our friends from Family Harmonies Familiales (FHF) to make some awesome art and play some music. FHF is an Ottawa-based organization of Developmental Service Professionals. They offer a variety of flexible supports for families and individuals with and without special needs.
At this workshop, we will be exploring the pour painting medium with Maddi from “Get with the Flow“. Each child will get to create 5 individual masterpieces. In addition to the awesome painting fun, there will also be music and games. Bring your instruments and some board games to add to the fun.
The thing we love about FHF is that they offer an inclusive, welcoming environment for people of all ages and all abilities. Some of their participants have diagnoses, some don’t. Some have different delays, some don’t. It is a wonderful, safe place for our children to gain experience spending time with people who are different from them.
Our society does not provide enough support to families who have children with disabilities or special needs, especially once those children age out of the school system. FHF provides these families with a community of friends and the support they need to live their lives to the fullest, to be the best versions of themselves that they can be. By participating in this workshop, you will be supporting this amazing community – both financially and with your friendship.
