Acts of Kindness You Can Do When You Travel
#2. Pick Up Garbage

Take the time to pick up some garbage at the beach or park that you are playing at.

This is especially great at the ocean where garbage can be very dangerous for the fish, sharks, whales and other animals who live in the ocean. If garbage is floating around in the ocean, an animal might swallow it, or get tangled up in it, and this might kill the animal.

While we were playing at Pokai Bay in Oahu, my daughter ran a far distance along the beach to catch a plastic bag before it blew into the water. Then we used it to collect some other garbage that was near us on the beach. And my son made sure to find a garbage can before we left the beach.
